Another Great Camp Option
Camp O.P.P. is a week long camp that gives kids the opportunity to learn about and interact with dogs, cats and horses. Throughout the week, the kids learn kindness towards all living things and practice compassion with the animals. Each day starts with interactive learning activities and concludes with hands-on experience to practice what was learned.
Two Camp O.P.P. programs are offered throughout June and July, 2009:
Camp O.P.P. – Part I is our original camp program, offered to kids going into 3rd – 7th grades.
Camp O.P.P. – Part II is our new program, offered to kids going into 6th – 8th grades.

Last year the kids left Camp O.P.P. stating, “We wish camp was longer than a week!” and parents reported the kids were excited about their experience and anxious to return each day. For more information and to register, visitwww.ourpalsplace.org.

Camp O.P.P. is offered by Our Pal’s Place, Inc., an animal welfare organization with a pet adoption facility and training/education center in Marietta.

Ellis Island and Jingle Jog

Today your child created an immigration profile for their character at Ellis Island.  At home your child needs to add more information to the profile and start thinking of a costume for Ellis Island.  Ellis Island will be November 20th in the fifth grade hall.  The students will spend the day experiencing immigration in the year 1910.  We will be learning more information about Ellis Island as we approach the event.

Jingle Jog forms went home today with purple folders.  We are training for the Jingle Jog and look forward to seeing everyone there on December 6th!  Be sure to register and return the form.
